Mani Ratnam's Kadal Braves Nilam

Cyclone Nilam that shook the entire Chennai recently did not deter the spirits of Mani Ratnam's Kadal team. In fact, the cyclone has aided for the film's progress.

Mani Ratnam and his team were shooting in the coastal areas of North Chennai as the film revolves around fishermen when Nilam had hit the coast. Mani Ratnam and Cinematographer Rajiv Menon wanted to make use of this rare opportunity and shot the climax of the film.

Gautam Karthik and Thulasai Nair play the lead roles in the film. A R Rahman scores music for the film. As we had already reported, watch the first song ‘Nenjukkuley’ from Kadal tonight on MTV unplugged.
