There are buzz in the industry that Hansika is playing a School girl in Surya Starrer Singam 2. The image of the actress in school uniform has created hype.However, Hansika has denied it. She has said that the particular getup in question is only for a song sequence.

Singam 2 is directed by Hari and stars the same crew like  Suriya and Anushka in the lead roles. Hansika also plays an important role in the film. It may be mentioned here that Anushka had played Suriya lead girl in the prequel.
