Recently one of the songs written by Vairamuthu for Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam was recorded by Harris Jayaraj. Singer SP Balasubramaniam crooned the number that went “Penn Paavaai Vaa, Kann Paavaai Vaa…”
The legendary singer was completely moved by the lyrics of Kavi Perarasu. It seems the former, after singing the song, asked the poet if he can embrace him. “Like a little fat kid, he embraced me, in appreciation to my song,” said Vairamuthu.
He added, “To be a good artiste, one must know to enjoy the art. That’s why SPB is such a beautiful artiste.”
