Is Vijay a ghost producer?

Recently Kalaipuli S Thanu, the producer of Thuppakki, revealed that Vijay chipped in a lot of cash during emergencies. When queried the actor about this, he said that he had been doing that for a long time and for a lot of films.

As far as Thuppakki, he extended his help when Kajal Aggarwal’s and Santosh Sivan’s dates were going unutilized due to financial crunch. “But that doesn’t make me the primary producer of the film. But yes, I have come forward to help many producers financially in a number of occasions, in order to meet the schedules,” added the Thuppakki star.
